Khalid Javed

Chief Executive Officer

A primary founder under the original company, Engr. Khalid Javed has been working in the power business for over 40 years. Throughout his distinguished professional career, he has served extensively across high-voltage distribution networks, the heavy construction of Extra High Voltage (EHV) 500KV transmission lines, and the structural setup of utility-scale thermal plants and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).

Aamer Khurshid

Director Finance

Aamer Khurshid brings over 25 years of cross-sector financial leadership,corporate governance, and strategic advisory experience across public andprivate enterprises. He leads financial operations, corporate fund management,and capital planning, ensuring rigorous alignment with international accountingframeworks, including IFRS, IAS, and corporate regulatory standards.

 

Since joining OMS Pakistan in 2007, he has played a pivotal role instrengthening corporate fiscal health, streamlining statutory compliance, andoptimizing long-term capital allocation. He previously served as SeniorExecutive (Audit & Finance) at Sapphire Group of Companies, where he ledstatutory audits, risk mitigation, and corporate financial controls.

Javaid Iqbal

Director – Technical

Javaid Iqbal is a Senior Project Management Professional and Electrical Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the development, engineering, execution, commissioning, and operation of high-voltage substations, transmission systems, and renewable energy projects across Pakistan and the Middle East. He brings extensive experience in leading large-scale power infrastructure projects, with strong capabilities in strategic planning, project execution, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and multidisciplinary team leadership.

 

He holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Power Systems from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. His professional experience covers the complete project lifecycle, from project development and feasibility assessment through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.

 

 

Shahzad Ali Baig

Director – Engineering & Design

Shahzad Ali Baig holds a Bachelor’s inElectrical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Management from NEDUniversity of Engineering & Technology. With over 30 years of extensiveexperience in High-Voltage AC Power Substations, he brings deep expertise insubstation design, testing and commissioning, and technical consultancy.

 

Prior to joining OMS, Shahzad held key leadershiproles at multinational power corporations, including AREVA, ALSTOM, ABB, and GEacross Pakistan and internationally. He began his career in substationcommissioning, successfully delivering HV substations up to 380 kV in Saudi Arabia.

 

As Engineering Manager at Alstom and GE GridSolutions, he led the design and engineering of major transmission assets,including the 500 kV Faisalabad West and 220 kV Ghazi Road grid stations,alongside numerous 132 kV substations for NTDC, distribution utilities, andprivate industrial clients in the wind, cement, and steel sectors. Hisconsultancy portfolio also includes major high-profile projects for K-Electric,such as the 500 kV KKI, 220 kV Dhabeji, and 132 kV Askari-VI substations.

Muhammad Saad Hafeez, CEng, MIMechE, IntPE

Director – Business Development

Muhammad Saad Hafeez is aChartered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the power andenergy sector, specializing in thermal power generation, renewable energy, energyefficiency, and industrial utilities. He holds a Master’s degree in EnergySystems Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NEDUniversity of Engineering & Technology. Prior to joining OMS, he heldprogressive engineering and management positions at K-Electric, gainingextensive experience in power plant engineering, maintenance, projectexecution, and operations management.

 

His professional experience spans engineeringconsultancy, project development, technical due diligence, thermal performancetesting, performance optimization, and energy transition strategies forconventional and renewable power projects. He has contributed to technicalconsultancy assignments for utility-scale power projects across Pakistan,covering combined-cycle, coal-fired, biomass, solar, wind, hydro, and wasteheat recovery technologies. His experience includes feasibility studies,Owner’s Engineering, Lender’s Technical Advisory, Independent Engineering, EPCsupport, technical audits, tariff and regulatory consultancy, and operationalperformance improvement.

 

He has extensive expertise in thermal performancetesting and assessment in accordance with ASME PTC 46, PTC 22, and PTC 19.1,supported by capabilities in thermal modelling and engineering analytics. Inhis role as Director – Business Development, he brings together his technicalengineering expertise and industry experience to support client engagement,project development, technical advisory, and the strategic growth of OMSPower’s engineering and consultancy services.
